La guitarra forma parte de la familia de los instrumentos de cuerda y se puede decir que, hoy día, es el instrumento más extendido por todo el mundo. Su origen no está muy definido pero, sea cual sea, la primera guitarra apareció en el siglo XIX con una apariencia similar a la actual guitarra clásica, a partir de la cual han dirivado las demás guitarras que existen hoy en día (clásica, acústica, eléctrica, etc.). Los componentes de guitarras son el clavijero, cejuela, trastes, mástil, diapasón, cuerpo o caja, boca, costados, cuerdas y puente.
The guitar is part of the family of stringed instruments and we can say that, today, is the most widespread throughout the world. Its origin is not well defined, but whatever, the first guitar appeared in the nineteenth century with an appearance similar to the current classical guitar. The guitar parts are the headstock, nut, frets, neck, fingerboard, body or box, face, side, strings and bridge. These very guitar parts are important for the luthier, who select a special wood to make each and everyone of the guitar parts.
